Benefits for Non-Omani Employees
An employee who leaves the Company’s service, without being eligible for a pension under the Scheme, will be entitled only to Employee Services Benefits, provided that he/she has served for a period of at least one complete year.
New employees will be provided with hotel accommodation or furnished apartments arranged by the Company for a maximum period of one month.
For international travel, employees are entitled to a travel allowance for every calendar day spent on official duty away from the Sultanate of Oman.
Employees are entitled to tickets during business trips, as outlined in the HR manual.
The Company will provide annual tickets for the employee, employee’s spouse and a maximum of 3 children under the age of 18 years.
The Company will refund the cost of shipping personal items as excess baggage.
An employee on approved travel is entitled to be paid an air terminal expense related to departure and return to Oman. Where a spouse and/or children are traveling at the Company's expense, the same air terminal expense will be payable to the spouse and half that amount for each eligible child.
The Company will sponsor the employee for a family visa, upon completion of the employee’s probation period.
The Company will pay expatriate employees an allowance per school year within Oman, for 3 children up to 18 years old. In the event that the parents of the child (children) are both employed in the Company, only one employee is entitled to receive the education allowance as mentioned in the contract.
The Company may grant advances of up to two months’ basic salary to employees.
The Company provides relocation assistance to employees transferred permanently from one location to the other (Suhar/Muscat or any other business locations the Company has or intends to have in the future).
The Company will pay a sum per annum toward recreational club membership fees, for specified grades.
The Company provides medical cover for its employee and direct resident family members (spouse and 3 children below 18 years of age). Maternity, dental and optical expenses are covered under the terms and conditions of Orpic’s contract.
It is the first of its kind edutainment centre in Suhar, and one of the most important facilities within Falaj Public Park, which was funded by Orpic in collaboration with Suhar Municipality, and inaugurated in August 2016. The centre build-up on an area of 650 m2 with total investment of OMR 180,000.
Orpic provides a yearly “Performance Incentive” as recognition for the efforts and achievements made by an employee during the calendar year. This Performance Incentive Scheme aims to serve as encouragement and motivation to employees in making Orpic a leading performer in its industry. The Performance Incentive Scheme is calculated using the following variables:
- a) Employee’s Individual Performance Rating and relevant grade multiplier
- b) Function KPI Score
- c) Corporate KPI Score
Employees are entitled to 30 working days of annual leave per annum, which is equivalent to 42 calendar days.
