Orpic received the Authorized Economic Operator Certificate (AEO) from the Directorate General of Customs after demonstrating a strong track record of government compliance, processes and systems; providing it with cutting-edge benefits across its supply chain.
Besides security benefits, Orpic will enjoy other trade facilitation advantages such as: faster cargo clearances at borders, decreased number of Customs inspections, international certification and marketing benefits, priority access to inspections and clearances at border crossing points, In-advance-processing of minor permits in the system (Increased pre-clearance of goods),release the cargo without completing the customs processes, gain a reputation as a safe and low-risk operator locally and internationally, access to use AEO logo in the marketing processes.
In his presentation, Cristian Hedesiu, – Polymer Marketing Manager, Orpic, highlighted the importance of Orpic’s polymer products, grades and solutions as well as the company’s ambition to be a global leader in the polymer business.
An engagement session was held with the attendees which highlighted Orpic’s strategy and showcased innovative polyolefin solutions and the many opportunities Orpic offers to its existing as well as potential customers.
Speaking at the event, H. E Giorgio Visetti, Italian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, expressed gratitude to Orpic for organizing an interactive seminar and stated, “We are pleased to partner with Orpic and our Italian counterparts to celebrate Italian Design Day. Given the crucial role of the Oil & Gas sector in the Sultanate’s economy, the Italian Embassy decided to dedicate the celebrations to the strict bond interlinking plastic materials and the world of design, in order to emphasize the opportunities provided by this valuable material across sectors. Through such sessions, we aim to enhance in-country value at each stage of the production chain, thereby contributing to the Sultanate’s manufacturing and design capacity.”
